Well, the decision has taken a while. I've thought a lot and I've already told some friends, so it's time to go public. I'll leave the blog is suspended a few months. Before explaining in more detail the reasons which lead me to make this decision, I would like to make clear that this is not the end of my work as a writer / columnist or as a Magic player. In fact is not the end of Sololegacy ... or should not have to guess.
The first and most obvious reason behind this decision is the lack of time. Right now I have no time for this, plain and simple. The blog has since Easter virtually no update. Sorry, I am very sorry, but I have no time or inclination . For the first time in years I have largely lost the desire to post things, in fact lately I spend much less time each day to read, forear, post and, in general, entangled. Come on, I've spent enough time to devote a day to not spend virtually nothing. This in turn gives me less material at the time of writing.
Now I'm passing one of the most suffocating stages of my life, and there are now six years at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, it catches me again, but this at the end of the day will end in a month at most. In theory I could get back to the bag and leave in the meantime Blog sad and treeless. Yes it could, but the lack of time is not the only or main reason.
The real reason for this digression is that I'm rethinking months ago the future of the blog. Things have changed a lot since I opened it back in July 2007. His rationale was then updated to disseminate information in Castilian on the Type 1.5 or Legacy. At that time there was more information on the format that outdated articles of the Serra and little information was shared on forums that gave the most well off. Sololegacy sirvió para difundir información, crear comunidad y ayudar a fomentar el formato. Durante meses y casi años, escribí esos largos análisis de mazos que tanto gustaban en su día y que tantas satisfacciones me han dado. Progresivamente el formato fue creciendo, se organizaron cada vez más torneos y, eventualmente, se crearon las Ligas de Legacy, que han consolidado por todo el país una base de jugadores con la que no podíamos siquiera soñar en 2007.
Con el tiempo César Fernández me hizo una oferta para escribir para Evolution Store y dejé de escribir artículos en Sololegacy. This was a natural evolution and do not regret it at all. I am aware that the quality and the desire to have declined, but honestly, when I opened the blog was crazy and I wrote articles of 7000-9000 words on a whim and these initial energy is just low. Yet I feel quite proud of some of the articles written for Evolution, including count the most satisfying article has given me since I therein.
currently have a national forum dedicated to the Legacy is doing well enough for the promotion of the format and the creation of a national community, in addition to various local forums. On the other hand, there articles on many websites today, in addition to dozens of blogs for teams and individuals that give us an enormous amount of information daily. I think coming Sololegacy as surviving in 2010 was quite outdated and needs to be reconsidered. I still like it a lot, but I need to reshape this that allows me to maintain the illusion.
Also, personally, I am closing a stage in my life and looking to the next. Next year is a pivotal year in which I have to face many challenges. It's one of those moments in life where you would reconsider everything, especially at the personal and even sentimental. This summer I need to forget about all this, I must me and my friends. I do not want that silly child that both gives the ass, I do not worry. I will not have the obligation to be always updated, always connected. I want out a bit ... for who knows, take it up again with more strength and hope. I know some may give you grief, or whatever, but I want to make clear that, in the best sense of the term, do not feel I owe anybody anything. I started this because I wanted to, as a hobby, and I can not let the fans choking me or I find it annoying. Inertia fills our lives and I will not even let it come to leisure and free time.
When replantearé me take a few months since, the way I want to continue this if you really want to. It is possible that the blog as we know it ceases to exist and want to start another project. I received some interesting email recently and I like to start a collective project more exciting.
For now continue in Evolution, because after all is not demanding anything I are not that crawl on writers today, so I'll try to continue with my limited flow of articles. I have also made some comments relating to continue with Tier Decks. We will try, if I feel like we'll see.
